Yellowfin Yachts Charity Event

We recently donated a paddleboard rack system as a raffle prize at this years Fill the Fin Yellowfin Charity Classic tournament. Raffle ticket sales helped the charity drive and bought family’s from across Florida to come and donate toys for Toys for Tots. Kids put the toys into a Yellowfin boat which is the “Fill the Fin” concept. A great turn out to a great event!

December 17 marked the 2nd annual Fill the Fin Yellowfin Charity Classic tournament. This event took place under perfect, south Florida blue skies and 88 degree weather. Not only was the weather perfect but the anglers, volunteers, staffs, vendors and sponsors did a fabulous job at showing up and showing out.

This event is the brain child but more so the heart beat of Yellowfin VP of operations, Heath Daughtry. “We love having an event for the kids and community, this Christmas will be a lot better for a lot of them than it would have without this weekend and that is because of the great support we receive from sponsors, vendors, anglers and everyone in and around this area”. ~Heath

One thing is for sure if you didn’t manage to make it out to this event you need to plan on making the 2017 one. The atmosphere is one that will put you and/or keep you in the Christmas frame of mind and help you end your year on a high note.

A lot of great prizes sponsored by fabulous manufactures were awarded throughout the 77 angler field. However, while the anglers were on the water fighting to catch the best fish they could, the Kids Dockside Tournament had a lot of action too.

All in all it was a great weekend hosted by the Bradenton Yacht Club and put on by the myriad of staff and volunteers of Yellowfin Boats. We at the Yellowfin Elite Redfish Series were proud to be a small part of the event and have put together a short video recapping this marvelous weekend.
